Dreams from Saturday morning:
There were these 2 towers at the ends of Elver park. Sort of like the ones at Blue Mounds. Shanie and I were climbing these at night. I was a little bit confused, thinking that they were the ones at Blue Mounds. Then I realized that we were nowhere near there so they must be different.
I was with a bunch of folks walking. There were these grassy ridges with gravestones going off into the distance. We were thinking about how long it would take to walk to the farthest ridge we could see. Some bird flew over our heads and landed one one of the stones in about 10 seconds. The funny thing was that what we thought was the horizon was less than about a quarter mile away.
There was this story about these 2 adjacent communities of folks. They lived on this hill that was covered with trees except for where there were roads or houses. One of the peoples kept this tradition regarding how they built their houses - they always had to 'fit' with their surroundings. They sort of looked like Frank Lloyd Wright buildings. They were very nice to look at and to be in. The other people, on the other side of the hill, had 'lost their way' and just started building stupid particle-board-and-styrofoam apartment complexes all over. I was walking over the hill towards the cheap civ one night but got sidetracked and walked down this foresty street. At the end I found a cave. But it wasn't an old brown cave; it looked like it was 'new', somehow. I guessed that it was created by a comet that had just hit. I went inside and there were all these nifty translucent formations. Also there were tunnels connecting this cave to the others that the organic civ used to get around in. Exploring the whole business was lots of fun. I had to remind myself that it was OK to get excited even though it was just a dream...
There was this mess of red-ended serial cables sticking out of the floor in one part of the cave. I stuck it on my head, thinking it was some sort of alien device. I answered it (it being a phone and ringing). It was for Brose. I think it was his dad.
Almost done with Crapi 25. This means playtesting soon, then fixing bugs, then RELEASING!
I'm more interested in modeling random living organisms than randomly generated solar like systems. I would rather make some imaginary universe, like donut-shaped planets travelling on a zig-zag curve and instead of sun, big thunders going across gallaxies, and whole stuff is actually surrounded by big fractal cave system where caverns have radius equal to millions of light years, and there are also some negative spherical planets inside the rock and positive planets hanging on a rope near the cavern ceilings, not mentioning warped distance matrics and aerial portals all around. Ok, just trying to be fancy :)
Messing with AutoHotKey. Seems nice exept that the syntax takes some getting used to, and I can't find any way to trigger a function when I hit <enter> after filling in a Gui Edit box.
