Just keeping track of what I was listening to, and what these songs reminde me of.
- The music from Nothing But Zooms : this reminds me of waay back, probably before I had seen a map of Madison. Walking down the railroad tracks was so fun because I didn't know what would come next. We might end up downtown or at the ocean. This state of mind really deserves its own node...
- Talking Heads - Burning Down The House : Maybe 5th or 6th grade, when I made those doom levels that used the MUSed version of this song.
- Verve Pipe - Freshmen, Dave Matthews - Wasting Time, prolly a few other songs that were played around the same time : Making maps in LW must've been from summer 1996 to 8th or 9th grade
- A whole bunch of 80s songs - Toto - Africa, Men At Work, etc. : 7th and 8th grade, playing computer games in the basement and going for bike rides earl in the morning out on the Military Ridge trail
- Rush - Time Stand Still : the period starting summer 1997 with all those bike rides, ending around 11th grade. I was making half-life levels and liked to walk around the golf course and (if I was feeling more adventurous) the park at the top of Raymond/Muif Field at night and look at the stars. This also includes the playing of FF7.
- Men At Work - It's A Mistake, RATM - Renegades of Funk : both remind me of early 11th grade, reading 'The Songs Of Distant Earth'. Makes me think of LimeWire.
- Underworld - Cowgirl : My walk to bridge 127. This was in 11th or 12th grade, maybe before we got Cable internet service.
- Blink 182 - Man Overboard : That church canoe trip and Freeciv - Summer/Fall 2001
- Filter - Take a Picture : First semester of college, exploring the woods behind the rugby field at night and sleeping on Bob's couch.
- Paul Van Dyk : Second semester of college, working on Crapi. For An Angel especially reminds me of when I started working on MAP03 - the organization of the tunnels was actually somewhat inspired by the song.
- Apoptygma Berzerk - Untitled Too (Sweep Remix) : Spring/Summer 2010; about the time I met Wendy, when my desk was near the hallway facing the front door. I had been listening to this recently when Yoru took her 4-day vacation.
