So said the sidebar in the sidebar page-layout of SS2 before I changed it to something useful.
Last night we watched a movie called... "Rebecca". It was made in 1940. I thought it was pretty cool.
A night or 2 ago I had a bunch of dreams. I don't remember much, but I do remember that in one of the first ones, there was this house that I was going to in one of those newish development areas. I suppose I was going there to fix these people's computer or something. At first I had driven there, and there were a lot of turns and things to remember, but the next I was walking, and it was harder. After going through this neighborhood for a long time, you would turn onto this road that spiraled up this tall hill, and that's where this house was. I remember that more from going away from the place than going to it, though. Actually, I'm not sure I remember going there at all the first time. I might have just left in the car, and that second time I was only going back.
Right now I'm listening to some of my old audio tapes (currently playing: Blue Oyster Cult - Burnin' For You, featuring sound effects of TOGoS playing Descent 2). That uhhh... I think his name is John guy came by around dinner and brought an Tape and a CD of his African music over for me. He'll come back in a few days to get it. I gave him a CD of TOGoS music. Later I made WAV files where they were missing for most of my music, as I didn't have them when I wanted them to make that CD, and had used MP3s instead >:P.
Last night (and by last night I mean this afternoon) I had a dream in which Karl had this big telescope. I thought I was hanging around with her and we were talking about it, but that doesn't really make sense as there was one point where I was walking down a road near her house, towards the park, and I was going to swing, but she was there and I was plesantly surprised as I hadn't seen her for a long time. We talked a little bit as we walked up Wedgewood, but then she went down another street, so we said bye. I was under the impression that she didn't really want to talk to me.
I kept walking, and walking. I ended up downtown, but I think it was somewhere other than Madison. I might have had some friends with me. There was this mall-like building which had a couple stories. I was on the second floor on this balcony. You could see down to the first floor from there, and maybe there was a fountain or something. Very mall-like. Anyway, I did something to piss of this guy, and he chased me. I ran outside, and back in through a side door. I was intent on losing this guy, and knew that he would see the door closing behind me, so I kept going. I ended up in a bathroom, and was thinking that going in there had been pretty stupid, as there wasn't going to be more than one exit to a bathroom. But I guess I was feeling lucky, for I, with great surprise, found that there was a stairway that led straight out of the bathroom back to the second floor, where I was before. I ran up there, and figuring that I was temporarily safe, went back to talk to my friends.
In one dream, I was standing in the back yard, as if I was coming back from taking the compost out. A-Day was in the kitchen talking to me via IM or cell phone or something. We then realized that we were right next to each other and that he should just step outside rather than be IMming with me.
Yesterday (assuming 'today' is the 10th--it's really the 11th right now in Wisconsin) Dad finally had me play Bionic Commando. I died a few times, but was able to beat the game in about an hour and 45 minutes, according to his recording. This playage was made pssible by my staying up until about 2 in the afternoon. I got about 3 hours of sleep that day, since Ma likes to wake me up for dinner. That evening I played Solar Jetman for Heather...crap. Alright, it must have been the day before yesterday. I did seem to miss a day there, as I thought today was Friday, but it's Saturday. And I'm 20. Uck. Anyway, I played Solar Jetman, and I played it some more last night/this morning (today being yesterday, once again. I'll start calling Sunday today when it gets light out). That's a terribly frustrating game, as folks noted on web sites. Actually, that might have been Friday that I played it ffor Heather... Oh well. I have to go to the dentist on Monday or something.
I'm asking the ArtMatrix guy about 'Fractal Video Music'
I feel like writing about what parts of my life different songs reminde me of. In a year and a half I will move what I wrote here to a different entry. And be amazed that this entry was written a year and a half ago. I'll also change the security settings and post it to LJ since there doesn't seem to be anything especially personal in it.
When I first went out on the bike trail, it was to go as far as I could, see what was out there, and to say that I had done it. Now it's only for nostalgic value, and not worth as much to me. I think that's why I don't go there, any more. I don't get as much out of it as I did the first time. I'm glad I did *before* they paved that new section, though. It was neat riding over that hilly gravelly grassy section. I sure hope they don't go paving everything.
