Wizard/knight thing, motorcycle, boss making me late(r) for work - 2025-03-31 - TOGoS's Journal

I was playing Minecraft with Fizz and Sara. Our base was dug around a vertical shaft in a relatively flat, open field. I had messed up and let something like a witch, but tougher, into the base, and I failed to lose it by scaping deeper into the base. I wasn't really prepared to do battle and didn't have my sword handy, so I kept hitting it with my shield until my shield broke. As a last-ditch effort to not be killed or let the baddie further into our base, I ran outside and eastward on a nearby highway.

Eventually the highway went over a ridge and suddenly dropped into a cave, which I fell into before I could stop. The cave continued down and back westward, but I landed on a ledge with a tunnel to the east, which I took.

Eventually, somewhere to the south, I found a town or something, and acquired a motorcycle, which I rode across the fields northwest to the base, with the idea that I could now easily outrun the wizard/knight/thing if I had to.

I was running late for work. I had already missed the morning meeting. And now Adam had invited me to go get coffee with him. I was worried about Eric being displeased with my unannounced absence. On the other hand, it's because I was having an unofficial meeting with his boss. But then Adam wasn't necessarily aware that I had already missed the morning meeting, so maybe that made it not okay. Eh, we'll see what happens, I guess.

We got freezing rain two nights ago and yesterday and last night it snowed. It's warmer now and everything's melting, so I decided to take Marilla out for a sled ride across the field while the snow laster.

The ice on the trees makes them super sparkly (and also crackly). The photos don't do the sparkliness justice. It reminded me of GMZ's little christmas tree that she had at Oakwood, or some tinsel, or something.
