On Wednesday and Thursday Fizz and I were thinking about finishing up Junko. I took Friday off work to go to the neighborhood 4th of July parade and the fireworks. On Saturday YC and I sat around my parents' house for a while before going to Adam's 5th of July party. I spend the night at YC's and had lots of dreams. Today I came to work to do timelogs, and I think I'm going to take my bike to Revolution Cycles while I'm out on the east side to have them fix my rear brake cable. Tonight YC and I are going to go back to my folks' house and we're going to go to Noah's Ark or something tomorrow with Dawne and Dawne's kids.
Here are my dreams from last night:
- I was working on a Doom level, and somehow it got all messed up and I had to revert from my last git commit, which wasn't too bad because I commit pretty often. A-Day was there talking to me about the level as I was working on it.
- Somehow I ended up at Wal-Mart with Atticus and some other people. He was buying some sort of iPod-like thing and some headphones and batteries, and I thought I wanted that same stuff. When I got to the register it turned out to be 245$, and I was like, 'no way, I've been spending too much money lately, I don't want to buy this'. And the guy at the register was like, 'uhh, what do I do?', and he was going to get to keep the thing since a customer left it at the register. Later I found the stuff lying around in the parking lot, so I picked it up, but the cashier came out and came after me saying he was just about to load that stuff into his car, so I gave it back.
- We were looking through some old photo albums from the 1950s. Everybody wore 3D glasses around all the time and wore sneakers. We were trying to find this one lady but weren't having much luck. She went crazy or something.
- I met a kid with a shirt that had a Super Mario Lost Levels level-editing reference on it. I thought that was really cool.
- The captain went to this mountain island but got abducted by guys
with spears and dragons, so I had to go rescue him. Unfortunatly
Michelle and Dave were with me. We had to canoe there, but we had to
stop at other islands on the way and find a new set of canoes each
time. Somehow we couldn't paddle our canoes around the islands (there
seemed to be an invisible wall there). As we went between islands, I
could see the mountain in the distance getting closer.
I had a manual with instructions and tips for how to deal with certain places. I read about what to do if your canoe flips over. The next page was talking about building rockets. Then I was watching a PBS video about the MSDOS-based displays that were used at mission control during the Apollo missions.
