I dreampt last night that I was going to college at some big university and moving into a fancy dorm building. I was a kid who had a dog with him. Right as I was about to go inside someone very fast started destroying all the buildings around me by replacing them with missle towers. It was pretty scary that they could do it that fast.
The place I was staying was more like an apartment than a dorm room. It had several rooms and I shared it with a bunch of other people, though we all slept in one room with bunk beds. We all felt a bit down, probably about the guy who had built all the missle towers earlier. He could so easily kill us all if he knew where we were. One lady had a chicken with her.
I was walking around on some raised sidewalks, or maybe the roofs of buildings. There was snow everywhere. I had my Gore-Tex boots on. I accidentally stepped in a puddle of slushy water, but I didn't feel it. I stuck my foot in again. Something wasn't right about this. Aha, I was dreaming. But now my foot *really* felt wet, as if...
I woke up to find that I had wandered out to the fountain behind the dorm building and was lying in it with all my clothes on. A guy that I had been talking to and drinking a lot of beer with the night before (he sort of reminded me of Benderd) was sitting at the edge talking to me. I started asking him how I had gotten out here, but then I thought how unusual it was that I had wandered out and layed down in a fountain in my sleep. That never happens to me. Must still be dreaming...I
I woke up again, and everything was black. Alright, this made sense. The basement is usually pretty dark. Went back to sleep.
The next time I woke up it was getting lighter out. I went to look for the bathroom. Poking around the rooms at one end of the apartment, I realized that it had a couple more rooms that I didn't even know about before. They were mostly empty, though. I was almost to the bathroom on the far end of the building, halfway between inside and out, when I saw some police coming my way. I worried they would think I didn't belong there and tried to hide myself, but then they walked right by me and came in to be friendly and talk to my roommates, who apparently knew them.
