I dreampt that I was playing this SNES game. I had played the first level of it once before years ago, but now I was coming back to play it again, and hopefully make it farther. The world was represented in pseudo-3D like Super Mario Kart. The first level was this big prarie with streams going through it. You couldn't just go straight across - you had to find teleporters that would get you across different rivers, and by the time you got to the end, you would have covered pretty much the whole map.
I knew all this because I remembered having gone through the first time. This time I was just standing around in a snowy little valley at the south edge of the map reading the manual (it was a funny manual). Ned and Chris (from the DL trip) showed up and I started talking to them. And I noticed that the music in this level was almost identical to an instance of outdoor music in Secret of Mana.
For a while I was walking along some railroad tracks in a place that seemed to be in place of the Cub parking lot behind Sub-Zero (that place was better when it was a field full of flowers, BTW). There were actually several parallel tracks, and a bunch of trains going back and forth on them. And then 2 trains going opposite directions collided right near where I was. I did my best to jump out of the way before they crashed all over me, and that seemed to work out.
