Dreams:
Up on the top of this hill were 2 apartment buildinga. I was standing at the edge right before the ground started sloping down (it was a lot like the top of the sledding hill at Elver park) checking out the view we had. You could see all these apartment buildings and stuff off in the distance. And the sun was shining right down on the side of the hill, and I was wondering why it was all grassy instead of having any trees.
There was this guy that was sort of like Mr. Pavao. He was showing us how you could knock down a certain dorm by tapping in just the right place. This was the strangest dorm on campus that had 2 parts at different points up the hill connected by an enclosed walkway. The tops of both buildings were in the same place, though, and since the designers didn't want either to have more than one basement, the higher up of the two had only 3 floors while the other had 5. We had walked across the walkway to the short building to pick up some guy that we were showing around.
There was something else about playing connect-4 on a giant board in the form of a tall Toys R Us building. People would fly out and land on the road and die. That didn't seem quite right to me.

So before I came home on Wednesday I totally forgot that it's my Windows box that updates dyndns.org with my new IP address all the time and turned it off. Sometime Thursday afternoon I could no longer reach my box at togos-dyn.ath.cx and figured that either Centurytel changed our IP address again (they do that a lot), Ben had turned off all our boxen as he left, or someone came in and stole all our stuff now that we were all gone. When I get back, assuming all my stuff is still there, I'll put a dyndns client on my Linux box. I'm not sure why I didn't do that to begin with. :P
My dad and I got the NES gun working using some telephone cable, solder, and electical tape, and I got a new high score in clay shooting of 1407000 points (I somehow missed one at round 37).
I seem to have left the sheet showing me what DiffEq homework I'm supposed to do at school, but WBen emailed me what the problems were so that's all good. Now I don't have any excuse not to do homework >:(. OTOH, If I get it all done then I can work on Crapi or D5 when I get back, which will be good because I just figured out how to let users make teleporters and it's really simple:
- Hit 'home' to specify first location.
- Hit 'end' to specify other location and connect with teleporters.
- A 'room source editor' would be nice, too.
- I also need to straighten out that server-side business of specifying who can select what world they start in.
The book I borrowed from Fizz had a story about how this guy who's brain wasn't connected in the middle acted sort of like 2 people. They would show each eye one picture - a chicken and a snowman for example - and have him point to things that went with those. The arm on the snow side pointed to a shovel and the arm on the chicken side pointed to an egg. When the original pictures were taken away and he was asked why he picked an egg and a shovel he said "That's easy. Chickens lay eggs and you need a shovel to clean out the hen house." indicating that our consciousness is not in charge so much as it is being fed a story that makes it feel in charge. I thought that was interesting.
