I had a dream that this mod for Doom 3 came out. We were hanging out with AA and he was talking about it. There was this fancy new gun lying on the table and I picked it up and was looking at it and then AA told me to put it down. That wasn't a Doom 3 gun, it was something he brought home from Iraq. Or was it? I wasn't really sure. It wasn't really a gun, though. It was actually some sort of video camera. He was telling me how it worked and I was thinking that was neat.
While people were talking about Doom 3 I was thinking about how hard it was to make indoor areas in that game. What I was actually thinking of was FarCry, Doom 3 is designed specifically *for* underground tunnels and things. I was running through this tunnel that would take you half way across the world of this game. There were big windows on the left side, and looking out there was this big mountain with a huge black hole in one side and this big, white pair of eyes looking out at me. That has pretty creepy.
In this mod of Doom 3, you could go to this screen that would show you all your party members and how healthy they were and what items they all were carrying. It looked just like a Final Fantasy game, which seemed weird to me that it would be in a Doom 3 mod. We were off looking for this big fire pit someone had told us about. We found one that wasn't that big, and actually the entire party fell in, but managed to get back out because it wasn't that big. Then we wandered around a while longer and found a really big fire pit. With a big fire in it. Lots of people standing around. They tried to feed me a big piece of fried chicken. It just hurt my jaw trying to eat it, so I ate the fries that came with it instead.
Then I was playing the game again. There were these 2 guys out ahead of me that were like bots, and I was letting them do all the work instead of fighting by myself. They were trying to get into this building up on a hillside.
And then Sarah was visiting us. She was being a bit annoying. So I was playing Nintendo. There was this weird version of the SNES that could output to a really skinny screen. I didn't know how anyone could play video games on that screen but maybe it was ok for playing tetris or something. But I was using some sort of chat program on there and looking at it on the skinny screen. I was on some channel full of people talking about how cool they thought this old skinny screen SNES was. Andy Wood was sitting a couple chairs down from me and I realized that he was actually one of the people in the channel. That was coincidental.
