Apparently the McDonalds here in Platteville takes all the employees they can get. That's what Sally, the manager told me at the interview, anyway. They don't pay as well as DQ, but the hours are a lot more flexible. I've been seriously considering working there over the summer. It's a little bit annoying because I wonder what I'll do if DQ says I'm hired, instead. And the lease on our house doesn't start until like June or something, so I don't know what I'd do until then.

I was lying in bed with my earplugs in trying to sleep (for a change), when I realized:

• CLA pays better than McDonalds
• I might not have too many more chances to hang out with my folks all summer after this.
• There're better places to run to in Madison (like Verona and the capitol). In Platteville all you get is dumb highways.
• Fizz is going to be hanging out with Abz all summer and I'm not sure I want to be part of that.
• I'd have to cook all my own food. My mom does a much better job.
• I'd miss all our friends at church.
• Mom wants me to wash the house.
• I have to go to the dentist.
• Ramen and cereal are cheaper at Woodman's than at Dick's

I'm goin' home. Yahoo!!! I feel so much better now. Stress off my back. Too bad Cuna didn't hire me or I'd really be set. I'm feeling so good, I'm going to do homework.

But first, dreams from this morning. I actually got to sleep for about 6 hours. It was great.

Eeh there was some stuff about walking around on highways near platteville and there were railroad tracks and a map and a river and I was trying to get Fizz to go with me and then there was stuff about playing around with Terragen 2 and it made everything look like a cartoon.
