I want to write down:
- My dream from a couple nights ago (see this convo with fizz)
- My new Mandrake installation (see this convo with bluebasser)
- The awesome LAN party we had (see this convo with bluebasser)
- Surge? Meh. It's there. Soon it'll be here.
- Oh yeah and that weird 'ear' dream I had this morning. I had a dream that I got new ears except they were big and round like mouse ears and they were taking a long time to fully attach. And it hurt a lot when i put my fingers in them, and I blamed that on Mandrake Linux and wished I was just using Windows 2000 because that never gave me ear pains. I was sleeping with my head on the hard old couch arm.
But, if I try to do all that, I'll stop working on TCGnomoradio, and that wouldn't do.
Those convo links won't work on livejournal because they point to local files. If you were reading my journal on my server here they'd work :P. Sometime I'll get around to fixing TLJT so it can handle the difference. When I finally get around to it it'll probably take about 2 minutes, but I don't want to think about it right now.
So I'll write this stuff later, maybe.
OK, it's 2005-01-01, now. And I will write about all that stuff.
Oh, yeah. We liked to sit in the basement of glenview, except it was all different and there was always a band playing or something in each of 2 symmetrical sections which each had like 3 rooms. John Mayer played there a lot. We liked to go back behind the stage to get out, which maybe we weren't supposed to do, but it worked very nicely. That route took us through a dim hallway that came out behind and just to the left of the card checker guy. Sometimes it was Scott. Scott was working on something as he sat there not swiping cards. He needed help making his road to outer space. I used my sk!11z from my dynamic mechanics class (which, in my dream, was a class I had taken my first year at Platteville and had been all about windmills and space elevators and things like that) to help him out.
One day I was sitting in there alone finishing my glenview rations and a Glenview lady made me sit with a bunch of jerks that complained about me. One of the jerks didn't like the way I looked at him. I had never seen him before. Later I was running after that guy by Morrow but I couldn't tell him apart from other dudes. I didn't want to yell at the wrong one.
That's it for the dreams. The following things actually happened, as amazing as that may seem.
The mandrake installation was dumb. I had to fight with it and delete some symlinks from cron.d before it would stop re-permissioning my files in a stupid manner.
We had a pretty cool LAN party over at Atticus's house on...Sunday. Right after christmas, I think that was. We played AOE 5 times and also messed around in Unreal Tournament a bit. Good times, it was.
