I walked to Ben's birthday party, which was happening at Ben's house, with Fizz and Ben Brose and Renee. The neighborhood had wide curving roads and sidewalks. We approached Ben's place from the west, and there was some slight trickery at the end to get to his house, like to avoid going the long way around a block we used a somewhat hidden alley or footpath.
Ben was spending all of his time wrestling professional wrestlers and losing badly, but he was really into it and just kept going. They were doing this in a fenced-off section of the basement.
Meanwhile the rest of the party was going on upstairs. As it got later people started leaving. Eventually Fizz and Brose left and it was just me and Renee for a while, and then she left. I stuck around a bit longer, maybe hoping that Ben would take a break from the wrestling and talk to me, but he never did. I was getting pretty bored.
Eventually, at some odd hour of the morning, I decided I'd had enough and left, waving at Ben on my way out. He might have been too busy wrestling to see me. After walking for a while I realized that I was not going back the same way we had come. I should have headed west, but was probably walking north, judging from the 2-story apartment buildings I was now walking past. They had nice-looking lamps out front, reminiscent of the ones on Whitcomb Dr.
Eventually the sun started coming up and I found myself looking down at a busy T-intersection at the shore of a lake. I had walked the wrong direction, and wasn't really looking forward to traversing this part of town, but at least I knew where I was. Maybe I could catch a bus.
