The main theme of my dreams last night seemed to be tryiong to finish leftovers.
In one part I went on a walk down Tolman or Barton or whatever (which of course were weird in the dream). There were groups of people around partying and shooting off fireworks. I think I was trying to avoid them. And I was very self-conscious about how I looked, because I was way derpier-looking than in real life. I think I was eating a sandwich of leftover egg salad. The pickle chunks helped preserve it.
Back at the apartment (it didn't look anything like my house inside; the door was in a different place, and I shared it and a bunk bed with some guy) my roommate was sleepily pawing at his phone trying to turn off the alarm, but actually it was my alarm that was going off, so I turned it off for him.
Aside from the theme of finishing leftovers, it seemed like I was bored, not sure what to do with myself, and maybe a little lonely. Was I supposed to be working on SynthGen? Building shelves? Not sure. If there was anything I meant to be doing I was lacking motivation to do it. So I went for another walk.
I walked down to the Reetz end of Marvin. The neighbors there, in the yellow house, had a trap door (made of solar panels) in the middle of their front lawn that led down into a whole section of their house where they had parties. There was no street here dividing the north from south yards; just the sidewalk. So, hearing the party going on, I lifted up the solar panel, climbed down a ladder, and knocked on a plywood door that sloped inwards. When they answered I asked if I could join their party and they said sure, as long as I'm not a cop, and invited me in. I told them about the time Mary invited the police to snoop around my basement because the sounds of the water softener freaked her out.
