I'm having a problem with the docking port that goes with my work computer. There's a 1.5V DC offset in the signal, which is pretty bad given that consumer audio equipment supposedly has a line level of less than 0.5V. There's probably a short somewhere in the DAC. Anyway, I was able to recognize the problem pretty easily because I had a dream in highschool where a band was playing but there was a strong DC offset coming from their instruments so the sound got all clipped and quiet, which is the same problem my docking port has now.
