We were standing outside her ex-bf's place.
"hey this is where loren used to live" (as in duh of course it is), I said.
"no that was Leine" (pronounced like "line" or something) she replied.
"...I'm pretty sure that was Loren.  I'm even friends with him on Facebook."
We're doing research on 19th century pirate ships
they are big and fancy ones!
sleek and wide and covered with tar
there was one picture in the book
of a boat getting too close to rocks on the bottom,
and the boat had a frowny face on it,
and I thought that was hilarious and was laughing at it

Later we were at my my parents' house
and some alarm was going off.  It didn't sound like the fire alarm;
it was something different.
It was coming from the bathroom.
There was smoke coming out of the tub!
Mary had dumped some leftover hair dye into it.
It was super corrosive, apparently!
We washed it down the drain.
