There were sequels to Interstellar, or we were proposing them. They had figured out portal tech better. There was a ball that a few people would sit in. These patterns would appear on the wall and then undo themselves and you'd be in a different place and time.
"You have to be careful when planning your trajectory that you don't end up passing through a supernova or something." I was making this up as I went along
At some point I was walking in the ridge-around-a-pond park and meet Renee, who was sitting on a bench. Maybe I was talking about the movie with her. I think she said something about a fish.
I had work to do. My computer was set up in the rents' living room. But I was not getting the work done. I was eating peanut butter on chocolate graham crackers instead. And then I realized it was already 3:something AM. I need more adventures.
The next day I was walking with Fizz and Devin and someone, talking to them about feeling the need to have an adventure. What even counted as an adventure? That trip to Yellowstone seemed like a good one. The trip to Fort Collins later the same year (in reality it wasn't clear which trip I was thinking of; neither of them were the same year as driving to Yellowstone with Devin) that same year was good. I told this to Devin and Fizz, respectively. We passed a place where there should have been a bridge but there was no bridge, and I thought about if we went on a quest to find a bridge that might be an adventure, but building a new bridge wouldn't be. Summer Camp is always an adventure.
It had been really nice out a few days before and I'd gone with family (Mom, Timmy and May, some childrens) to the park where we pushed kids on swings. That didn't necessarily count as an adventure, but had kind of hit the spot.
In real life it was really nice and warm out a couple of days ago and I had a hard time working because it seemed like good adventure weather. But I had too much going on and didn't have anything fun planned, so in order to at least get outside a little bit I fixed my bike tire. I would have fixed the canoe, too, but it turns out I don't own an angle grinder.
