This game has gotten very difficult; baddies knew where we were and kept attacking our hideout. We kept trying to dig a new one That would last long enough that we could build some crafting tables so that I could make a pickaxe. All I had to dig with was a square shovel, which turned out to carve through blocks instead of breaking them, which wasn't what I wanted at the moment, but was kind of awesome, since it meant that my complaint about not being able to customize blocks was void. I kept dying while trying to seal off our hideouts, which was problematic because I'd respawn somewhere outside and have to find my way back without dying.
