YC came to visit. We did laundry a lot and I drove the car probably more than I did in the previous 6 months. YC wrote a day-by-day log of what all we did. Now I will do it, too.

Thursday, 2012-12-20

Heavy snow OMG! Started shovelling. Enough to get my bike out by Saturday and some neighbors helped with their snowblowers so that by Sunday there was a wide enough gap to get my car out.

Saturday, 2012-12-22

Went ice skating with some of the 20-somethings. Ate and drank and pooled at the Brass Ring on the way back. I was told that me biking there was pretty hardcore. Biking along Sherman, narrowed due to snow, was a little annoying. My new headlight (maybe a week earlier I'd replaced the bulky flashlight on my helmet with a smaller one) got dim so I swapped out batteries. I wonder if it uses them faster than the bulky one (which I now keep in the car with some non-rechargeable batteries taped to it).

Came home from the Brass Ring early in the morning, went to bed, got up, drove to the Arby's Park & Ride to get YC. She took a shower and then we went to Taj for dinner and then visited my folks on the way home.

Monday, 2012-12-24

Did some catfood shopping and some peoplefood shopping and bought a hair dryer and wandered in the arboretum a little bit and had dinner (stew and wedding cake) with my folks and made tingalings and didn't go to church!

Tuesday, 2012-12-25

I had Christmas with the folks! We would've had lasagna. YC hung out with Dumper most of the day and then came over later.

Wednesday, 2012-12-26

I went to work while YC went up to some mall in Wisconsin Dells. Then we ate at my folks (chilli, I think, and more wedding cake, and we heated up a piece of lasagna for YC).

Thursday, 2012-12-27

YC and her friend Cindy and I went up to the square and got breakfast pies from Teddywedgers and ate them inside the Capitol, where I also gave blood because the Red Cross was right there collecting it. Then YC and I went and visited Li-Lin, and then we went sledding, and then we had dinner with the Nelsons at Loredo's. I got some bean burritos and YC got a Fajita Somethinga (which looked so good that I got one myself after roller skating tonight and half of it's left).

Apparently YC got some good pictures of Yoru sitting on me while I slept.

Friday, 2012-12-28

It may have snowed again. YC went for a walk in the morning and when I woke up I was like "where's YC did she go somewhere without meee??", and I was about to on with my morning routine but she came back shortly. We went to Woodman's again and she stocked up on Burt's Bees products and goat milk soap. We also went to the bank to do I don't know what and Target to get a head lamp and ate ice cream while we drove. We came back to find A-Day's mom dropping off A-Day at my house, and then we all went skiing with the Outing Club at the Glenway golf course. A-Day and I ate/drank at the Laurel while YC hung out at Woodman's some more. Then we went home and A-Day showed me a robotic flying zombie shark.

Saturday, 2012-12-29

YC went Curling. I went home and looked at the Internet with A-Day and then we both went back to take pictures of YC doing her curling stuff and then we came home and then we all went downhill skiing at Cascade Mountain with Athena, which was the awesomest and most surreal part of the entire week. We stopped at Perkin's on the way home and found some googley eyes that Kate had stuck to a post, earlier. We got stopped by a police on the way home because my rear lights weren't on. That last part was technically on the 30th, according to my pictures.

Sunday, 2012-12-30

I drove to Milwaukee with A-Day and dropped YC off at the Johnson Creek strip mall. We found A-Day's mom at her house and then went to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the Bradley Center. The show had some cool parts. A-Day's mom fed me burritos and then I headed home and picked up YC from Meider's house in Sun Prairie. We stopped at the Sun Prairie Woodman's on the way home, which was interesting. Then we stopped at my folks' house and YC made us have pictures. After we got home Dumper came by to give YC stuff to take to Taiwan and we started packing.

Monday, 2012-12-31

I drove YC to O'Hare. We talked about the power lines and yelled at each other at toll booths and stopped at some Oasis to get gas. We rode the train and wandered around the airport a bit and I kept her company as she stood in the line for security. Then I went to the bathroom. There were no urinals and people had been peeing on the seats. Then I drove home. It was a long drive. I picked up the wagon and the cooler from the office and got a new shovel and a hose nozzle from Dorn. Then I helped the folks do a puzzle and then I went to a party with Abe and Doren where it was impossible to relate to anyone because they were all already drunk and too loud to hear over each other. There was what someone called a "Sputnik lamp".

Yesterday I pretty much just went to a party at the Waltons where it was also kind of hard to relate to anybody. Dom shook my hand twice and both times I just barely managed to grumble out a "you too" in response to whatever nice things he was saying to me. We played Settlers of Catan.

Today I went to work after staying up most of the night playing Blender and cleaning the kitchen a bit. But after work LPA came roller skating with me and Abe and Doren and we all went to Loredo's for fourdes afterwards, which was swell.
